Lola B2K/40 Technical Specification

Chassis
The chassis is constructed from special aluminium extrusions which are welded together to create a framework to which aluminium honeycomb panels are bonded.

Bodywork
The bodywork is pre-preg glass fibre with honeycomb core in order to stiffen the panels. The rear wing will also be of a lightweight composite construction.

Suspension
The front and rear uprights are fabricated from a high quality steel and TIG welded. These units are used on other Lola applications and have been fully proven for reliability. Both front and rear suspension use double fabricated steel wishbones with pushrods and rockers transmitting the loads to the Dynamic Suspension dampers

Brakes
AP Racing discs and calipers, fully vented for cooling. The brakes are mandatory ferous 330mm diameter 32mm thick ventilated discs with floating mounts on to lightweight aluminium disc bells. Aluminium 4 piston calipers.

3000cc or 3400cc Nissan V6

Transmission
A lightweight magnesium gearbox maincase is being used, this being a structural part of the car to which attaches all the rear suspension and accepts all the Hewland 6 speed sequential gearbox internals which have a proven track record as being reliable and available off the shelf from Hewland Engineering.

Tank capacity can be up to 100 litres (to account for possible rule changes)
