SNETTERTON CHARITY DAY A SUCCESS FOR PEARSON For immediate release November 20, 2000 Mark Fish Motorsport duo, Rick Pearson and Paul Lomax thrilled guests with a series of high speed circuit rides in Lomax's race- going, ActiveShop Clio 172 Sport during the 22nd Annual Snetterton Charity Weekend. Pearson - who finished fifth in this seasons Elf Clio Renaultsport UK Cup- partnered dozens of supporters, sponsors and members of the press in their tour of the 1.95 Norfolk track. "It was absolutely brilliant," commented one lucky passenger. "We got out onto the pit lane where he started to accelerate and it was absolutely awesome. The braking was really hard and he showed no mercy at all! I don't have the words to describe it really, it was just absolutely brilliant. I want another go!" Representatives from motorsport web sites and members of the press also expressed similar sentiments. "Talk of 'oh my god...
what am I doing ?!' just before climbing on board was replaced by wide
grins and 'WOW!! I want another go!!' upon returning to pitlane," explained
Craig Antill, CEO of 10 Tenths Motorsport. For Pearson, the annual event was a welcome opportunity to say a big thank-you to his burgeoning band of supporters while helping to raise money for the nominated charities. "It was great to get into the car for fun and demonstrate just how busy it is inside the ActiveShop Clio on a quick lap," he said. "To be able to give those supporters who have followed us all year, the race engineers and some representatives of the press a thrill that they probably won't forget for a while was an honour." All proceeds from the day will be donated to the British Heart Foundation and The Big C Appeal. |
